The service
amictest.com offers free online tools for checking devices such as microphones, cameras, speakers, headphones, screens, keyboards, mice and controllers. The tools run in your web browser and are provided for general information and troubleshooting. They are not a substitute for professional repair, calibration or medical advice — for example, the headphone frequency test is not a hearing test.
Safety
- Flashing images: the stuck pixel fixer and some display tests show rapidly changing colours and full-screen flashes. Do not use them if you have photosensitive epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing light, and stop immediately if you feel unwell.
- Sound levels: start sound, headphone and tone tests at a low volume and raise it gradually. Loud tones, especially through headphones, can damage your hearing and your speakers.
- Hardware: long vibration, flashing or tone sessions are generally safe, but you use the tools at your own risk. Stop if a device becomes hot or behaves unexpectedly.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: do not attempt to disrupt or overload it, access it by automated means at a harmful rate, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or send us spam or unlawful content.
Your content
Recordings, photos and videos you make with the tools stay on your device and belong to you. We do not receive or store them. You are responsible for how you use and share them, and for having permission to record other people.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to third-party websites, such as manufacturers’ driver download pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, software or privacy practices.
No warranty
The site and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Results depend on your browser, operating system and hardware, and we do not guarantee that the tools are accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or that they will fix any problem.
