This policy explains what information amictest.com (“we”, “us”) handles when you use this website, and why. The short version: our tools run entirely in your browser, and nothing you record, film or type into a tool is sent to us.

Camera, microphone and device data

When you use a tool such as the microphone test, webcam test, tuner or keyboard test, your browser processes the camera image, sound or input events locally on your device. We never receive, upload, store or share this data. Recordings and photos you make are kept only in your open browser tab until you download them or close the page.

Your browser asks for your permission before a page can use your camera or microphone. You can withdraw that permission at any time in your browser’s site settings.

Information stored in your browser

We use your browser’s local storage to remember a few preferences on your device, such as light or dark mode and tool settings (for example the visualizer style or the tuner’s reference pitch). This information never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies.

Emailing us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply to you. We keep the message for as long as needed to handle your request and do not add you to any mailing list.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers may record technical information about each request — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to keep the site secure and running. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.

Third parties

We do not sell or share personal information, and the site does not currently use analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Fonts and all other files are served from our own servers. Some pages link to other websites, such as manufacturers’ driver download pages; their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Children

The site is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. As described above, the tools themselves collect no personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how it is used. Because we only hold the emails you send us, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to email us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
